Rita Ora's Album cover analysis.

Rita ora's music is a cross between many genres: pop, dance-rock, dance-pop and Rnb, i think it's very hard to tell this just from the album cover, all we can see is her face close up, it doesn't tell her much about her music. Although in a way she may remind people of Rihanna so we may assume that Rita's music is the same or at least similar. The way the cover is structured i think would stand out in a shop because the picture is big and so is her name also, the contrast between the black and white picture with a colour font..is fairly original, a lot of album covers now a days seem to have a lot of colour but i think thats what makes this more interesting and in a way unique, this could suggest what Rita ora's music is like because it's not actually defined in a certain genre instead many genres which suggests unique and original. Again like Lana Del Rey's album cover the font is not thin  like a typical female pop artist it's thicker to possibly make a statement that shes not the average female pop singer.

Lana Del Rey Album cover analysis.

This album by Lana Del Rey's main focus is Lana Del Rey herself(Lizzy Grant) because her picture is centre of the album cover, she may have chose to do this so that she will be recognisable and straight away we can identify her  to her name and the album. The picture could make us have a judgement of her and what we think her album may be like. I personally don't think that the album reflects her music that much. Lana's genre is indie kind of pop which i don't think this album cover represents that very much. The font in very bold and thick, the fact it is in capitals catches our eye because of how big it is, but i think Lana has tried to stay away from the girly type pop font because it is not what she wants people to think of her music as because it's not very girl but does have elements of pop.

Mika album Cover analysis.

This Album cover defines the type of music quite well because of all the bright colours, it could suggest that the artist is very fun and lively and quite unique and happy. It also looks quite feminine although if you know the artist you know he is male which could be represented by the font. The font is much thicker than the usual female pop artist so this could suggest that it's not a female. The Name of the artist stands out well because the font is very big and is white so it contrasts with the bright colours in the background. I think this cd would stand out well in shops because of the bright colours however the bright colours could come across as childish and for the younger generation such as children, but you could argue that  target group is for the younger generation. Also from the cover we could assume that the music on the album is targeted to younger female girls because it's looks very girls and he has chose to use a lot of pink which is sterotypically associated with girly girls or even girls in general.

Guns and roses album cover analysis.

This album cover represents the band because the genre of the band is rock and we could assume this by the cross on the front of the CD cover, also because the colour of the background is dark  this could also show that the bands music is rock. The cover  has the members of the band on the front but in a different, unique way to most other bands which is skulls this could also define why the band produces rock music. The name of the band is clearly written at the top of the album but isn't very big, i don't think it would stand out as much as maybe some other album covers.

Just checking it works..
